Robert Turner, a legendary poker player, has contributed so much to our world of poker. As readers of the GamingToday newspaper, we are very fortunate to have him as one of his poker columnists. His recent column on “Poker can use behavior” raises an important issue that every casino must address.

But first, let me tell you a little about this extraordinary man. Robert Turner has probably finished in the top ten in more poker tournaments than anyone in the world. My data goes back to the early 1980s, showing he has played poker games ranging from Texas hold’em to Omaha, HORSE, stud, Razz, Lowball; limit, no limit and pot limit visit Dewapoker Slot Gambling. Wow!

He is responsible for introducing Omaha games to the card rooms in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. He has held leadership / executive positions at several casinos, and taught poker to countless men and women, helping them learn how to win at poker.

In the March 27 issue of GamingToday, Turner focuses on the inappropriate behavior that sometimes takes place in the card room – more often than we would like. Most recently, while playing in a HORSE tournament at the Bicycle Hotel & Casino, the game dropped to two tables in qualifying when he witnessed a “serious incident of table abuse.”

An elderly player named Walter – a military veteran in his 80s – was verbally attacked by a much younger player. At one point, rudely said something with the effect, “When I’m done with you, old man, you’ll come out of here crippled.”

Robert further describes how the ruthless player “stood vomiting the f-bomb across the table … so loud it couldn’t be missed.” There were three women at the table, but that didn’t deter the perpetrator one bit.
